- November 15, 2019
ORIGIN OF THE AÇAIBES Açai is pronounced as assa-ie, meaning “fruit that cries”. The acai berry is originally from South America and grows on the banks of the Amazon region. Acai is a native berry of the Amazon rainforests. The local population of the Amazon has been eating acai berries for as long as they know, they used this as a healing “energy booster”. Acai berries are enormously rich in antioxidants and stimulate the immune system in a natural way. It is very difficult to be able to consume fresh acai berries. This is due to the tropical climate; one hour after the berries fall from the tree, they can spoil. Because these berries are so perishable, in the Netherlands they are actually only available in a processed form such as juice, pulp or powder. Açai is a dark purple berry with the appearance of a grape, the berry consists of no less than 80% pit. The acai berry is an exotic family member of the blueberry and cranberry. Frozen acai and acai powder are nutrient-rich Acai berries have a unique nutritional profile for a fruit because they contain a little fat and little sugar. Frozen acai pulp how healthy is it? The acai berry contains all kinds of vitamins (including vitamin B and vitamin K, niacin and riboflavin) and minerals such as potassium (potassium), manganese, copper, iron and magnesium. In contrast to other berries, the acai berry also contains high concentrations of fatty acids. Omega 6 and omega 9 fatty acids that can be found in the berry have a positive effect on the heart
blood vessel system. They lower the cholesterol level so that the narrowing of blood vessels can be prevented. But some of the most powerful health benefits of acai come from plant-based substances. The most striking of these are anthocyanins, which give acai berries their deep purple color and act as antioxidants in the body. You can also find anthocyanins in other blue, black and purple foods such as black beans and blueberries. In short: Acai berries contain healthy fats and small amounts of sugar, as well as many trace minerals and plant substances, including anthocyanins. What are the benefits of the acai berry? Heart health Research has shown that acai berries contain many anthocyanins. Anthocyanins are a form of plant-based antioxidants and can potentially lower blood cholesterol. Red wine also contains many anthocyanins, which is why red wine is (moderately) healthy. Acai berries are also rich in vegetable sterols. These are heart protective substances and offer many benefits for our cells, such as: help prevent blood clots improve blood circulation relax blood vessels Protection against harmful organisms Scientists have shown that the consumption of acai berry extract can help fight harmful organisms. Examples of harmful organisms are: intestinal parasites bacterial infections Lose weight with an acai berry diet Acai berry is not called a “superfood” for nothing by nutritionists. But what can they do for your weight? Foods that contain a lot of nutrients and provide a lot of energy but that contain few calories are very suitable for losing weight. Acai berries fully meet this requirement! They help not only to lose weight, but also to stay on a healthy weight. Acai berries can potentially reduce the negative effects of a high-fat diet. Acai berries are good for the skin Today, many beauty products contain acai oil. The oil contains a high content of antioxidants, this is beneficial for the skin. Acai oil is a natural alternative to chemical skin care products that can damage the skin in the long term. Just by eating them raw, acai berries can give the skin a healthy glow. Brazilians have been eating acai berries for centuries to treat skin conditions such as eczema. The maximum effect on the skin can be achieved by pampering the skin from the outside with acai oil and from the inside with fresh acai berries or possibly acai powder. Preventing intestinal complaints by eating acai berries Eating acai berries can also help the intestines. The achievement and beh
maintaining an optimal intestinal function can be quite difficult. Acai berries offer many benefits for the intestines. They have powerful detoxification properties and help detox the human body, contain fungus and anti-inflammatory substances and are a source of dietary fiber. The berry is also a suitable prebiotics. Prebiotics is food that is beneficial for the healthy intestinal bacteria and helps restore the intestinal flora. Natural anti-allergy treatment Acai berries have anti-inflammatory properties. This means that acai berries can prevent the typical inflammatory reaction associated with an allergic reaction. Since the inflammatory response gives the most complaints, this reduces many of the complaints. Keep your cells strong and healthy The anthocyanins in acai berries play a role in the immune system at the cellular level. This helps keep cells strong against free radicals. Natural anti-aging Acai contains extremely many forms of plant-based phytochemicals (a type of anti-oxidants). These substances in acai berries can help to delay aging related to inflammation and cellular oxidative damage. In fact, the berries of the acai plants are one of the best sources of antioxidants. It is a berry that contains ten times as many antioxidants than grapes, and twice as much as blueberries. Energy boost from nature Use of acai extract is a natural way to get an extra energy boost. Acai extract gives a lot of extra energy and can ultimately lead to improved endurance. Energy drinks usually work because they contain a lot of sugar and caffeine. This gives a short “sugar rush” but after that often often a “crash”. As a snack, Acai berries can help combat fatigue and exhaustion, but without the adverse effects. When a boost is needed, just eat a handful of berries! A better sex life This acai berry improves blood circulation in the human body. This can contribute to an increase in libido. Good blood circulation helps the nerves and ensures that hormones are well distributed throughout the body. Acai berries increase libido especially in men (for men, “blood circulation” is of course not unimportant). What can you do with acai berries? J
